Puff DTF Transfer is a heat transfer with a raised, puffy 3D effect that makes your design literally pop off the fabric. The transfer arrives flat - the puff layer is activated during heat pressing, expanding into a bold, dimensional finish.

Ideal for: streetwear, hoodies, sweatshirts, bold typography, and brands that want their logo to stand out with depth and texture.

1. Solid Puff (Black & White)

The difference is how the design is produced.

Solid Puff is CUT:
• We start with puff material that is already colored (Black or White)
• Your logo is laser cut directly out of that material
• No ink is printed, so the color is limited to the material color - 1 color per design
• Result: a clean, sharp, bold one-color finish

Custom Puff is PRINTED, then cut:
• Your artwork is printed in CMYK onto the puff material, and the shape is cut afterwards
• Any colors are possible, including multicolor and gradients
• Result: the same 3D puff effect, with full color freedom

In short: choose Solid Puff for a clean black or white logo, and Custom Puff when your design needs colors.

Yes! Choose our Custom Puff (Printed Colors) style. It is printed based on your original design, so any colors are possible - multicolor artwork, gradients, and detailed designs all work with the puff effect.

Puff Transfer works best with:
• Bold, thick lettering and solid strokes
• Designs with cut-out negative space inside - this gives the puff enough area to expand evenly
• Simple, chunky logos and typography

Please avoid:
• Thin lines and fine strokes - they don't have enough surface area for the puff effect to develop properly
• Tiny text and intricate details

Our team always reviews your artwork before production and will advise if any adjustments are needed.

Two things may happen, and we will always tell you in advance:

1. A supporting base layer may be added
If your artwork contains very fine strokes, an extra layer is added underneath to support durability and cutting quality. This applies mainly to Custom Puff, which is printed first and then cut.

2. Artwork is prepared as solid, filled shapes
Before production, your design is consolidated into solid blocks. This gives the puff a stable structure to expand into and guarantees a clean finished result.

If either adjustment changes the look of your design, we will show it to you on your digital mockup before production begins.

PNG (High-resolution, 300+ DPI at actual size)
JPG (High-resolution, 300+ DPI at actual size)

Vector files (AI, PDF, SVG) are recommended for the cleanest results, especially for bold typography designs.

The MOQ for Puff DTF Transfer is 30 pcs per design. This applies to both Solid Puff and Custom Puff.

Our low MOQ makes it easy to test new designs through small production runs before committing to larger quantities.

Puff Transfer is priced based on:
1. The size of your design
2. The style you choose (Solid Puff or Custom Puff)

Each design has a minimum of 30 pcs. You can order multiple designs in the same order, but each design must meet the 30 pcs MOQ.

For Solid Puff, each color counts as a separate design if the artwork changes.

Puff Transfer requires 2 heat press steps.

Temperature: 120°C (248°F) for both Solid Puff and Custom Puff
Pressure: Heavy - approximately 55-60 PSI (4 bar / 4 kg/cm²)

Step 1 - Bond the transfer to the fabric:
• 7 seconds
• Cover the design with a protective sheet before pressing

Step 2 - Activate the puff layer:
• 15 seconds
• Place a supporting layer underneath to help activate and stabilize the puff effect

⚠️ Important:
• Press on a flat platen area only - avoid collars, seams, and hems, as uneven pressure will affect the puff effect

Detailed pressing instructions are included with every order.

Heavy pressure is what activates the puff. Standard DTF pressure will bond the transfer but will not fully expand the puff layer, leaving the design flatter than it should be.

As a rule of thumb, Puff needs about double the pressure of a standard DTF transfer:
• Standard DTF: around 28 PSI (2 bar / 2 kg/cm²)
• Puff Transfer: around 55-60 PSI (4 bar / 4 kg/cm²)

If your press does not display a number, set it so the handle takes real effort to close. If your first test comes out flat, increase the pressure before changing anything else.

No - that's exactly how it should be! Puff Transfer arrives flat because the puff layer is heat-activated. The 3D puffy effect appears during the second heat press step (15 seconds with firm pressure).

Just follow the included pressing instructions and watch your design rise into a bold, dimensional finish.

Yes! Puff Transfer is durable for up to 40 washes when applied following our 2-step pressing instructions - bonding strongly to the fabric and keeping its puffy 3D structure through repeated wear and washing.

Care instructions:
• Wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle
• Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
• Do not iron directly on the design - high heat can affect the puff structure
• Tumble dry low or hang dry
• Wait at least 24 hours after pressing before the first wash

Yes. Every order includes a final digital proof to confirm artwork, size, style (Solid Puff or Custom Puff), color selection, and design details before production begins.

Production only starts after you approve the mockup.

With our low MOQ of just 30 pcs per design, most customers test their designs through a small production run.

For larger orders (from 1,000 pcs), samples can be provided with a sample development fee, which can be credited toward your bulk order once production is confirmed.
