Metallic Puff DTF Transfer combines a raised 3D puff texture with a premium metallic finish. The transfer arrives flat - the puff layer is activated during heat pressing, expanding into a bold, dimensional shape with a reflective metallic surface on top.

Unlike standard puff transfers, metallic puff creates a reflective surface with added dimension, making it ideal for:

Metallic Puff is available in 3 colors:

Each design is produced in one metallic color. The material comes pre-colored, so the color you choose is applied across the whole design.

Both products give you the same raised 3D puff effect. The differences are:

Finish: Metallic Puff has a reflective, shiny surface. Standard Puff has a matte finish.

Colors: Metallic Puff comes in Gold, Silver, or Pink - one color per design. Standard Puff offers Black and White (Solid Puff) or full-color printing (Custom Puff).

Application: Metallic Puff is pressed at a higher temperature, 150°C (302°F), compared with 120°C (248°F) for standard Puff. The pressing times and pressure are the same for both products. Please always follow the instructions for the product you ordered.

• Thin lines and fine strokes - they don't have enough surface area for the puff effect to develop properly
• Tiny text and intricate details

Very small details may need an added base layer for durability, and final artwork is prepared as solid, filled shapes before production. Our team always reviews your artwork and will show you any adjustments on your digital mockup.

Pressure: Heavy - approximately 55-60 PSI (4 bar / 4 kg/cm²)

Step 1 - Bond the transfer to the fabric:
• 7 seconds
• Cover the design with a protective sheet before pressing

Step 2 - Activate the puff layer:
• 15 seconds
• Place a supporting layer underneath to maintain the puff effect

⚠️ Important:
• Heavy, even pressure is required to achieve the full puff effect - around double the pressure used for a standard DTF transfer
• Always test on your fabric before bulk production
• Press on a flat platen area only - avoid collars, seams, and hems

Yes, we strongly recommend it. Fabric type, garment thickness, and heat press models all affect how the puff develops, so a quick test press on your actual garment lets you fine-tune your pressure and temperature before running the full batch.

If your test comes out flatter than expected, increase the pressure first - heavy, even pressure is the most common factor in achieving the full puff effect. Puff needs roughly double the pressure of a standard DTF transfer, around 55-60 PSI (4 bar) versus around 28 PSI (2 bar).

No - that's exactly how it should be! Metallic Puff arrives flat because the puff layer is heat-activated. The 3D puffy effect appears during the second heat press step (15 seconds with firm pressure).

Yes! Metallic Puff is durable for up to 40 washes when applied following our 2-step pressing instructions - bonding strongly to the fabric and keeping its puffy 3D structure through repeated wear and washing.

• Wash inside out in cold water on a gentle cycle
• Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
• Do not iron directly on the design - high heat can affect the puff structure and the metallic finish
• Tumble dry low or hang dry
• Wait at least 24 hours after pressing before the first wash
